Mark Jabin

Mark Jabin, Carrollton :: He played on the football team while attending North Texas from 1978 to 1981. Mark worked for multiple companies and started his own direct marketing business, MarMak Designs. He was an avid fisherman and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was a lifetime member of the UNT Alumni Association.

Winston Coffey

Winston Clay Coffey, Oglesby :: He was a junior studying kinesiology. He served in the U.S. Army in Iraq from 2009 to 2010. He had attended North Lakes Community College in Irving and was the president of the Student Veterans Association there.

Margaret King

Margaret King (’10 M.S., ’13 M.S.), Haltom City :: She worked as a custodian at UNT, had earned master’s degrees in information science and computer education and cognitive systems, and was a graduate student in interdisciplinary studies. She worked in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years, including the Naval Aviation Depot from 1974 to 1997 in Virginia and then at the Defense Contract Auditing Agency in Fort Worth from 1997 to 2003. Services with full military honors are scheduled at 11:30 a.m. May 16 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy in Dallas.

Orenda Spikes

Orenda Spikes, Garland :: She was an English teacher at Highland Park Middle School, devoted to teaching her students writing and technology skills. She was attending UNT as a master’s student in the College of Information.

Ty Hightower

Ty Hightower, Hurst :: He was a junior majoring in operations and supply chain management. As a student at Grapevine High School, he played on the school’s golf team.

Zuzu Verk

Zuzu Renee Verk, Keller :: She was a student from 2013 to 2015, studying education and art, and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
