Adam Wayne Bonner, Chicago, Ill. :: He was last enrolled in summer 2012 as a student in sociocultural anthropology. He received a certificate to teach English as a second language and was planning to teach in South America. He was a twice-published poet.

François Xavier Prévost, Paris, France :: He was an exchange student at UNT in 2007. He headed a French advertising agency called LocalMedia after previously working for the Havas Media Group. He died in the November terrorist attacks in Paris while attending a concert at the Bataclan theater.

Burl Gaynor Kirbie, Calgary, Alberta, Canada :: He was active in petroleum development and production throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Africa, North and South Dakota, and Alberta. While at North Texas in the late 1950s and early 1960s, he was active in the Geezles fraternity.

Thomas Cascella, Denton :: He was enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and studying for a degree in medical laboratory sciences.

Gabriel Klein, Denton :: He was enrolled as a sophomore and majoring in social science. He and his family moved to Denton in 1992, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was interested in natural science, languages, technology, political science and thought-provoking films. He is survived by his father Joseph Klein, Distinguished Teaching Professor and chair of the division of composition students at UNT College of Music.

Tahshal Fletcher Kimani, Denton :: She studied sociology as a postbaccalaureate student at UNT. Passionate about serving others in ministry, she graduated from World Harvest Bible College in 2002 with a degree in pastoral studies. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University. She received a certificate from the International Business School of Finance and Economics at Yunnan University in China after participating in UNT’s joint cultural and educational exchange program. She had hoped to return to China and help the poor.

Terry Lawrence (’15), Denton :: She was a senior majoring in information science and minoring in biology. Her degree was awarded posthumously.

Marylinn Alvarez (’15), Allen :: She was a senior marketing major minoring in political science and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Her degree was awarded posthumously.

Eric David Williams, Denton :: He was an engineering student in 2013-14 and held the rank of first class petty officer in the U.S. Navy, where he had served on the submarine U.S.S. Henry M. Jackson. He enjoyed playing baseball and numerous musical instruments.

Faizan Shaikh, Euless :: He was enrolled as a sophomore in the College of Business and first came to UNT in 2013.
