Anne Easterling, Austin, has started her own business as a management consultant specializing in professional associations. She provides finance, membership and event planning services for the National Organization for Human Service Education and is interested in connecting with other UNT graduates who work in association management. Dale M. Haywood, Midland, Mich., a professor of business at Northwood University, was the first recipient of the university's Samuel R. Marotta Faculty Ethics Award, which recognizes integrity and high ethical standards.

Kevin J. Shay, Gaithersburg, Md., was hired as a business reporter for The Gazette, a chain of more than 30 newspapers in Maryland. He was one of several contributors to the book Big Bush Lies, released in June.

Glorious Fowler-Crowder, Garland, was named the 2004 Garland ISD NAACP Educator of the Year. She is an assistant principal at Montclair Elementary School and previously worked for the DeSoto ISD.

'84
Sonya Calooy, Euless, received her master of education degree from the University of Phoenix in July. The degree's focus is on adult education and distance learning.

Thomas C. Kelly, Chatham, Ill., graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in May and will enter otolaryngology residency at Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center.

Debra Nobles (M.Ed.), Denton, was named an assistant principal at McMath Middle School. She has been an administrator at the school since it opened in 1997 and was previously a counselor at McNair Elementary School.

'87
Mike Bogle ('89 M.M., '00 D.M.A.), St. Paul, Minn., was appointed associate chair of performance at McNally Smith College of Music and is a regular contributor to Jazz Improv magazine. After performing and recording with the UNT One O'Clock Lab Band on Lab '88 and Lab '89, he was manager of the One O'Clock and administrative assistant for lab bands from 1991 to 1995. He was nominated for a Grammy in 1992 for his arrangement of Chick Corea's "Got a Match" (recorded on Lab '89).

Bonnie Edwards, Longview, has been accepted as a postulant for holy orders in the Diocese of Texas, Episcopal Church, and planned to begin work this fall on her master of divinity degree at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin.

Brad Hunt, Coppell, has accepted a position as the director of human resources for Coppell ISD after serving as principal of Carroll Middle School in Southlake. His wife, Janay Hicks Hunt ('96), teaches fifth-grade math and science at Eubanks Intermediate School in Southlake. They were married in June 2003.

Chris T. McAllister (Ph.D.), Texarkana, was recently awarded tenure at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. He joined the Department of Biology there in 2000 and was promoted to associate professor last year. He serves as managing editor of the Journal of the Arkansas Academy of Science and has two children, Rachel Ann, 16, and James T. III, 19.
