C. Dean Davis, Austin, founder and
senior counsel of Davis and Davis PC, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in July. He has represented the association for 35 years as its general counsel. The award is the highest bestowed by the association.

C.M. 'Neil' Florer ('61 M.B.A.),
Midland, has been vice president of Rogers Ford-Lincoln-Mercury in Midland since 1977 and was recently elected president of the Board of Trustees of Midland College.

Joyce Curtis ('60 M.S.), Abilene, retired from Abilene Christian University at the end of the spring semester after 45 years
of coaching and teaching. She began the ACU women's athletic program coaching volleyball and basketball and was director of the Required Activity Program for 34 years. She wrote Pickle-Ball for Players and Teachers and is well known for her bowling articles and workshops. At North Texas she was president of Delta Psi Kappa and played on the first women's volleyball and tennis teams.
