Ronald High
, Columbia, S.C., is an associate professor of music at Benedict College in Columbia, where he teaches voice, diction for singers and other courses. He has done postdoctoral work in African American music and in voice pedagogy and science at Harvard University, New York University, Emory University and the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music. He is also active in recitals and chamber music and has been a collaborative pianist for several noted artists.

Paul Chandler
, Denton, has joined TexasBank Denton as senior vice president of lending. He was previously senior vice president of commercial lending at Wells Fargo.

Nancy Kite Courtney
, Fort Worth, has a daughter, Christina, who was the 2003 valedictorian of All Saints Episcopal High School in Fort Worth.

Ben Joyner ('76 M.B.A), Denton, has joined TexasBank Denton as senior vice president of lending. Bringing more than 27 years of experience to the position, he is responsible for commercial and real estate lending.

Bert Rader, Portland, Ore., has been an archaeologist for the Portland District Corps of Engineers since 1999. He is now the cultural resources team leader, responsible for compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, the Archaeological Resources Protection Act, the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, and other federal and state laws.

Mike Simpson, Bridgeport, was selected as a 2003 Texas Super Lawyer and appeared in the November 2003 issue of Texas Monthly. He is the founding and senior partner of Simpson, Boyd and Powers PLLC in Decatur and Bridgeport. At North Texas, he was student government president in 1973-74.

Larry Lawless, Stephenville, has composed a collection of marimba solos titled 12 Etudes for 2 Mallet Marimba, published by Innovative Percussion.

Dawna Hamm Walsh
(M.Ed.), Dallas, is a professor and chair of the Department of Art at Dallas Baptist University. She was recently honored for 25 years of service, and DBU established a scholarship in her name. She and her husband, John M. Walsh III, have four children.

Christie A. Wood
, Denton, has released Opus One, a new stained glass pattern CD in Glass Eye 2000 format. It features more than 50 designs produced in her studio, Art Glass Ensembles, in Denton.

Sharon Bulls Neely
, Plano, and her husband, Larry, have adopted two little girls from Russia. Anastasia, 1, and her sister Alicia, 2, joined their household on Jan. 15.
