Ouida Johnson

Ouida Owen Johnson (’45), Dallas :: She was one of the first women to serve as a class president at North Texas when she was elected junior class president in fall 1943. She also was active in the Mary Arden Club, the Green Jackets and Kappa Theta Pi, now known as Chi Omega. She worked at General Electric after graduation. After living in Corpus Christi and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she moved back to Dallas, where she taught at the Children’s Center of the First Community Church for 14 years and was the director for the remainder of her 41-year career.
