Natalie Ashton Kjar (’10), Houston :: She was accepted to the University of Texas Medical School in Houston in 2010, where she was pursuing dermatology. At UNT, she majored in orchestral studies before changing to premed. She served in and was later president of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Medical Professional Honor Society and was a tutor in music theory. In Houston, she served the community though the Emergency Medicine Research Associates Program, as a member of Med Kids and as a volunteer with SIRE Houston Therapeutic Equestrian Center. She also was a recruitment officer for the American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association in Houston.
