Marshall Durham (’57, ’61 M.S.), Lewisville, attended North Texas before putting his education on hold to serve in the U.S. Army. He returned and earned his bachelor’s in physical education before joining Lewisville ISD as a 7th grade teacher. He continued his education at North Texas, earning master’s degrees in public school administration and elementary school supervision and went on to serve 47 years as a principal and assistant superintendent with LISD prior to retiring in 2001. The district named Marshall Durham Middle School in his honor. He was part of the Lewisville High School inaugural Hall of Fame class in 1988 alongside his wife, Sue Ann Durham (’54).
