Marie Robert Fisher

Marie Robert Fisher (’65 M.A.), Dallas. She was a long-time member of the President’s Council and is the namesake of UNT’s very first endowed professorship, the Marie Robert Fisher Professorship in 1985. She also earned her master’s degree in English from UNT while raising her children. She later taught high school English at Carrollton. She was an avid supporter of animal rescue and adoption centers, a writer and reader, and a Dallas Cowboys fan.
