John Kenneth McCoy

John Kenneth McCoy (’73, ’73 M.M.), Dayton, Ohio :: He played trumpet in the One O’Clock Lab Band under the direction of Leon Breeden. McCoy also served as chief arranger for the United States Army Field Band and Soldier’s Chorus from 1977 to 1994 and the arranger for Ohio State University Marching Band’s halftime shows from 1995 to 2017. McCoy’s musical arrangements have been performed around the world, and his composition, “We the People,” a tribute to the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution, was performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
