Joe E. Sharp (’59), Colleyville :: He began his accounting career with Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. prior to establishing his own accounting practice in Amarillo. In 1984, he acquired the First National Bank of Baird and later purchased other banks in Beaver, Munday and Weatherford. His organization eventually expanded to include several bank branches and a bank software company. He also served on the boards of the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen and the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and was active in his church.
