Jane Walker Compton (’50), Canyon :: She worked as a medical technologist at the old Brackenridge Hospital in Austin and returned to medical tech work while her children were in college. She attained 50 years of continuous certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She enjoyed traveling, including living for a year in England from 1971 to 1972, and she attended the symphony and opera all her life. She also loved sewing and created numerous outfits to which she added her own touch. She belonged to Beta Beta Beta while at North Texas. She was married to William David Compton (’48) in 1950.
