James W. Thomas (’49), Dallas :: He worked in the insurance business, forming the Weatherford, Smith, Thomas and Fred S. James firm. He was an avid athlete, mainly enjoying golf and fishing. Thomas was a member of the golf team that won the NCAA National Championship.
