Henry Teel

Henry Rogers Teel (’37), Haltom City :: He began his legal career in 1942 as an associate in a Laredo law firm before leaving to serve in the U.S. Air Corps in Australia, New Guinea, the Schouten Islands and the Philippines. In addition to private practice, he was elected Denton city attorney for six years and served as assistant county and district attorney of Denton County for two years. He was president of the Denton County Bar Association and started the Denton County Law Library. In 1984, he retired as an attorney for HUD. He also was a landscape painter and active in his church. He was 100 years old. While at North Texas, he was a member of the debate team.
