Frank Leon Klein (’61), Granbury :: He attended North Texas on a football scholarship, playing end, beginning on the freshman team that was the first to be integrated in 1956. After his senior season in 1959, he was among the first players signed to the team that would become the Dallas Cowboys. He worked as a mortgage lender and a commercial real estate broker and liked to fish and golf in his spare time. Survivors include his wife, Carol Creswell Klein (’62), whom he met at North Texas.
