Bob Belden

Bob Belden (’78), New York City :: He was a Grammy-winning saxophonist and jazz producer who played for a variety of artists, including Prince, the Beatles and Carole King. He produced many of the Sony/Legacy Miles Davis reissues and recorded 20 albums as a bandleader. He attended North Texas at age 16 and was a member of the One O’Clock Lab Band. He recorded his 2012 album, Transparent Heart, with his band Animation, which included young alumni of the One O’Clock Lab Band. They recently completed a tour of Iran and played all over the United States and Europe. He received a UNT Distinguished Alumni award in 2007.
