Betty Sue Matthews (’50), Dallas :: She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with loved ones. She was involved in many organizations, including A.W.A.R.E., The Dallas Woman’s Club, Mes Ami and Highland Park Presbyterian Church Circle. She was an active contributor to UNT, specifically the College of Arts and Sciences, and was a member of the Chilton Society and 1890 Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Lester Matthews (‘49), whom she met while studying at North Texas.
