Armender Hayes (’48), Baytown :: He was an educator for more than 30 years with the Goose Creek CISD, serving first as a math teacher at Baytown Junior High School and then as principal at James Bowie Elementary School and Cedar Bayou Junior High School. He joined the Texas National Guard in 1940 and received the Bronze Star for his service in World War II. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling and dancing.
