Alan Kyle Bozeman (’87 M.S., ’90 Ph.D.), Mooringsport, La. :: He earned his Ph.D. in mathematics after solving an unsolved problem and completing a dissertation, “Weakly Dense Subsets of Homogeneous Complete Boolean Algebras,” that was originally only half a page long. He worked as a lottery game designer until 2007 and continued to work from home in Louisiana until his death in 2010. He held nine patents in his field.
