The College of Music will receive $10 million:
- $5 million for endowed professorships and chairs in music
- $3 million to fund touring and recording opportunities for students
- $2 million for highly sought-after, competitive scholarships in music
The College of Engineering will receive $6.5 million:
- $5 million to create the Charn Uswachoke Center for Energy Efficient Materials, a center that will help UNT and its materials science and engineering department become a leader in energy-related materials research
- $1.5 million to create an endowed professorship in materials science and engineering to attract a top researcher to head the center
The College of Business will receive $5.5 million:
- $5 million to fund the Charn Uswachoke Scholarships for Study Abroad for undergraduate and M.B.A. students
- $500,000 to establish the Charn Uswachoke Graduate Suite in the new Business Leadership Building
The Ardoin-Voertman Endowment Funds bequested by Paul Voertman will be divided among three colleges, with each getting one-third.
The College of Visual Arts and Design will designate:
- 40 percent to create an Ardoin-Voertman Artist-in-Residence position for a nationally renowned artist to teach at UNT; each appointment will be held for up to two years
- 40 percent for student scholarships
- 10 percent to support student grants for research, travel and creative projects
- 10 percent to support a visiting artist and printmaker program in the Print Research Institute of North Texas (P.R.I.N.T.), a UNT fine art press
The College of Music will set aside:
- $1.3 million for student scholarships
- $1 million for opera productions
- Up to $1 million for student travel and recording
The College of Arts and Sciences will use:
- Half of its allocated donation for student scholarships
- Half for the College of Arts and Sciences Excellence Fund, which will be used to recruit and retain faculty and recognize faculty excellence in teaching, research and scholarship

Contributions can be designated to scholarships, professorships, departmental chairs, and university centers and programs. Donors may choose to contribute to an existing endowment or create a new one.
- Annual gifts are yearly opportunities to invest in UNT’s ongoing work. Most annual gifts are made through Call Mean Green, a student-staffed program that keeps in touch with alumni and friends.
- Corporate and foundation giving create winning partnerships with corporations and foundations to ensure the viability of our schools and colleges.
- Planned giving enables donors to give through charitable remainder trusts, asset management, estate planning and retirement planning options. UNT provides gift and tax planning services to create mutually beneficial outcomes for both donors and UNT.
