Floyd Patrick Kelley (’53), Spring. He attended North Texas on a full basketball scholarship, becoming a three-year All-Conference player for UNT and inducted as a member of the UNT Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003. He also was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and met his wife, Mary Beth Long (’53), whom he married in 1953, at North Texas. Upon graduating, Patrick served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a 1st lieutenant platoon leader for two years, then returned home to work in insurance for 32 years. After retirement, he became a licensed minister for 21 years.
