Sue Hays (’60), Denton :: cheered for sports teams as a Green Jacket, and later met Henry Hays (’59, ’60 M.B.A.), whom she married in 1959, at a social dance class. Sue taught fourth grade and was active in the Denton community. She was a member and president of the Denton Benefit League and Ariel Club and was involved with the Denton Women’s Club, Denton City Federation of Women’s Clubs Foundation, City County Day Nursery, Girl Scouts and the Denton Community Theatre. She and Henry, former dean of the College of Business, were active supporters of UNT, serving as members of the President’s Council and donating to the colleges of business and music. Survivors include their son Joel (’98 M.Ed.) and daughter-in-law Stacy (’99 M.Ed.).
