John O. Norman (’72, ’77 M.S.), Fort Worth :: He was an associate Professor Emeritus of history at Western Michigan University, having taught Russian and Soviet history, as well as cultural history and the arts, from 1989 to 2017. He was an avid researcher who helped establish the WMU history department’s doctoral program. He also took part in a partnership that helped collect medicines and other items for the elderly in Russia. He earned his doctoral degree from Indiana University.
