Elgie P. Seamster (’63), Grand Island :: He was a member of the championship golf team while at North Texas and, as a senior at the NCAA championship, he shot the lowest score of anyone on the North Texas team with an even 144 par. After graduating, Elgie served in the Texas National Guard and ran the company Sahara Sportswear with the late Don Van Pelt (’61) until it was sold in 2000. He is survived by wife Hollie Glause (’65).
