Derrelyn Metz (’55), Denton :: She worked as an educator for special-needs students in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Red Hat Society, and she traveled around the world, often on motorcycle. She taught at the American school in Isfahan, Iran, but had to leave during the 1978-79 revolution. As a student in North Texas, she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and contributed to its 2009 house campaign. In 1950, she was named Miss Ada in her hometown of Oklahoma.
