Sam Turner (’64), Austin :: He taught English composition and literature in various colleges in Austin, Houston and Midland and had earned a master’s degree in English from Eastern New Mexico University in 1968. He also worked as vice president for an advertising agency and volunteered with the mentally disabled and less fortunate. He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he disposed of explosive ordnances during the Cold War.
