Eldridge Pendleton

The Rev. Eldridge H. Pendleton (’62, ’68 M.A.), Chelsea, Mass. :: He taught at Princeton and other universities and worked as the curator at the Old York Gaol Museum in Maine before graduating from Duke Divinity School and becoming an ordained Episcopal priest. He joined the monastic order of the Society of St. John the Evangelist in 1984 and was known for his kind spirit, wisdom, sense of humor and cowboy boots. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
