Gerald Schafer

Gerald Schafer (’58), Richardson :: He first attended North Texas in 1950 but left to join the Army, where he was stationed in Germany from 1953 to 1956. He returned in 1956, finishing his degree and beginning his business career at General Dynamics. He later joined Colins Radio (which became Rockwell then Alcatel), where he stayed until his retirement in 1993. While at North Texas, he was a member of the Phi Tau fraternity, which became Sigma Phi Epsilon. He is survived by his wife Kay (‘59).
