Marion Lamar Simmons (’56), Brentwood, Tenn. :: Originally from Yazoo City, Miss., he had a 36-year career with Diamond Shamrock Oil and Gas Corp. in Amarillo and San Antonio. After retiring in 2012, he moved to Brentwood to be near his children and grandchildren. Before enrolling at North Texas, he attended Hines Junior College on a baseball scholarship, attended Mississippi State and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
