JoAnn Elliott Bond (’61), Dallas :: At North Texas, she pledged Alpha Phi, earned her degree in interior design and met her husband of 45 years, Charlie Bond (’59). She worked for Braniff and Elliott’s Hardware and, after her children were born, was a school volunteer, Blue Bird leader and tireless T-ball and soccer mom. She was a gifted artist and active for many years in the Civic League, where she originated the annual Holiday Home Tour. She also was the founding president of the Friends of the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Memorials may be made to the JoAnn Elliott Bond Scholarship fund at UNT.
