The UNT Alumni Association is working to build alumni networks throughout the North Texas region and participation in campus events, such as Homecoming, through innovative new programming and engagement opportunities.

"We're concentrating on building our regional alumni programming here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where 136,000 degree-holding graduates reside, as well as enhancing and growing our campus-based programs," says Rob McInturf, executive director of the association. "This will help us reconnect our alumni to UNT through programming focused on their interests and locations."

Leading these two new efforts will be new association directors Annie Carter, right, and Kara Klement, left. Carter, director of affinity alumni programming, will focus on building upon and leading signature alumni programs such as the university's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards, Homecoming and Class Ring Presentation Ceremony. Klement, director of regional alumni programming, plans to work on building official UNT alumni networks throughout the North Texas region and help the association offer more consistent, sustainable engagement programming to alumni. She will focus her efforts in areas where there are large concentrations of alumni.
