Stephen J. Inrig, Dallas :: is an assistant professor of clinical science at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He recently published a book titled North Carolina and the Problem of AIDS: Advocacy, Politics and Race in the South (University of North Carolina Press), using the history of HIV in North Carolina as a case study to examine the rise of AIDS in the South from the early spread and discovery of the disease through the late 1990s. He earned his Ph.D. from Duke University.
