Mona Curtis, Bedford :: attended the induction of her late husband, Bill Shelton Curtis (’69 M.Ed.), into the Texas Christian University Letterman’s Hall of Fame in September. He competed in track and field and football at TCU from 1954 to 1956 and, as a standout hurdler, competed at the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 1957 and later became a teacher, an administrator and a successful coach for several Dallas-Fort Worth schools. He passed away in 2008.
