Michelle Ballew Safewright, Elizabethton, Tenn. :: served as associate dean of campus life in the student development division at Maryville College in Tennessee for 16 years. She left this summer to join her husband, Andy, who took a new job at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn. During her tenure, she managed residence life, coordinated campus co-curricular student activities, developed and implemented the college’s sexual assault policy and taught courses in the freshman curriculum. She also helped manage the planning and construction of three of the college’s eight residence halls and coordinated renovations to all of the others.
