Marilynn ‘Birdie’ Barr, Corinth :: received the Rotunda Outstanding Professor of the Year Award in spring 2012 at Southern Methodist University. She also was a recipient of the Dean's Award for Outstanding Faculty in the area of teaching. She is in her 32nd year as a senior lecturer in the Department of Applied Physiology and Wellness. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. from Texas Woman’s University.
