Lisa Bethea, Dallas :: who works as the Visit Frisco tourism sales and convention services manager, was named the 2017 Convention Services Manager of the Year, Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) category, by the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) and Successful Meetings magazine in January. She received the honor on her fifth work anniversary. Award winners are individuals who have demonstrated their ability to provide the highest level of service. She has previously worked as a writer and associate producer at KXAS NBC 4 and WFAA Channel 8, and convention services manager and executive meeting manager for Embassy Suites Hotel in Frisco. At UNT, she was vice president of the Student Government Association.
