Lewis Giles (M.S.), Dallas, is the recipient of the 2022 Robert L. Oakley Advocacy Award, given by the American Association of Law Libraries to those who have advanced their policy agenda on the federal, state, local or international level. Lewis was cited for proposing a new policy in which the Dallas City Council voted to expand the availability of library cards to all educational institutions within the city limits. Lewis is a member of the Municipal Library Board and the assistant director of library services at UNT Dallas College of Law.
