Laura Cobb Hayes (M.Ed.), Allen, received the prestigious Small Business Innovative Research Grant from the National Science Foundation. The grant carries an initial investment of $275,000 for research and development of a prototype for her invention, an education-technology solution to college entrance and persistence in underserved populations, and a round-two investment of $2 million after proof of concept.
