Larry C. Stevens ('75 M.S., ’83 Ph.D.), Flagstaff, Ariz. :: is a professor of psychology at Northern Arizona University where he has taught and conducted research for 25 years. He received a three-year National Science Foundation grant last year to study the social psychophysiology of compassion. He is the coordinator for NAU’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates program, providing hands-on research experiences to students from cultures under-represented in the sciences. NAU has a large number of Native American students, primarily from the Navajo tribe.
