Kimberly Hoggatt Krumwiede, Grapevine, is dean of the School of Health Professions at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She received her doctorate in learning technologies, began her career as a medical illustrator and was on faculty in a graduate program for biomedical communications for more than 16 years before transitioning to the field of interprofessional practice and education. Her research interests include interprofessional education, educational technology in health care sciences and the use of virtual reality in adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. Dr. Hoggatt Krumwiede previously was a professor in health care sciences, associate dean for academic affairs and director for interprofessional practice and education at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. While at UNT, the late Dr. Greg Jones was among her mentors. In her free time, she enjoys spending weekends with her family on their East Texas farm.
