Ken Simpson, Palm Springs, Calif. :: is the founder and CEO of Skin 2 Skin Care, a line of non-toxic cleansers, creams, serums and masks that has won numerous beauty awards and is PETA-certified as cruelty-free and vegan. Drawing on his experience developing skin care products for luxury resort spas, he began developing this line when radiation treatments for a brain tumor left his skin damaged. He says North Texas holds fond memories for him, and Betty Marzan Mattil, with whom he worked as a fashion design student on what is now the Texas Fashion Collection, inspired him. “When I graduated, I went to Professor Marzan and thanked her for all the encouragement to do a better job and keep experimenting and growing as a person,” he says.
