Kara Walton, Dallas, is the office and communications coordinator for the nonprofit Sammons Center for the Arts. As part of the Sammons Cabaret concert series, she performed her show, “Reused, Renewed and Rearranged,” featuring musical arrangements she wrote of familiar songs that have been updated with “creative twists.” One her favorite UNT memories is when the Scrappy statue was installed in front of the UNT Union, with which she frequently posed for photos.
