'92 Ph.D.James Parsons (Ph.D.), Springfield, Missouri, has earned the rank of distinguished professor of music at Missouri State University, where he has taught since 1995. He previously taught at UNT and the University of Missouri at Columbia. His writings about Mozart, Johann Friedrich Reichardt, Beethoven, Schubert, Hanns Eisler and Ernst Krenek have been featured in numerous publications, and he has spoken at conferences around the world. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a Senior Fulbright Research Fellowship.
