Holly M. Hutchins (’94 M.A., ’04 Ph.D.), Sugar Land :: was promoted to chairwoman of the human development and consumer sciences department in the College of Technology at the University of Houston. She first worked as an assistant professor in 2004 and was promoted to professor last year. For the past four years, she has served as the co-principal investigator on a National Science Foundation ADVANCE grant that increases the recruitment of women and women of color professors in STEM disciplines at UH. She and her wife Brandy Gibson* (’93) live with their two daughters, three rowdy dogs and three sometimes affectionate cats. At UNT, she worked as a resident hall assistant in Maple Hall and belonged to NT40. Her favorite UNT memories are “when fall would arrive on campus and produce beautiful colors and crisp air. I also loved seeing the green lights on the Administration Building tower. My dorm window faced Crumley Park, and I had a great view of the tower. LOVED my time at UNT!”
