Gary Foster, Dallas :: is a senior lecturer in music theory at SMU. After graduating, he taught for almost 10 years in Odessa and for 28 years at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., serving as department chair for 12 years. He earned a master’s from Texas Tech and a Ph.D. from LSU along the way. He retired in 1997 and moved to Dallas, where he began work with SMU in 2005. He says he would enjoy hearing from any of his UNT classmates from the late ’50s and early ’60s.
