Francis Stroup, DeKalb, Ill., who wrote the UNT fight song “Fight, North Texas,” celebrated his 100th birthday in September. Attending the party were family from California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Vermont, including seven great-grandchildren.
