Erin Barger Orgeron, Jackson, Miss. :: worked at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston for various contractors from 1984 to 2000, having studied computer programming 10 years after graduation. She created digital, 3-D solid geometry models and video simulations of the shuttle mission tasks. She received the NASA Manned Flight Awareness Award in 1994 for video simulations of the first Hubble Telescope repair mission. She worked in the virtual reality astronaut training lab and received the prestigious Silver Snoopy Award in 1999, given by the astronauts for work that directly enhances their safety. She later was a software programmer for WorldCom, retiring in 2009. She married George Orgeron Jr. (’65) and had three children. She later married Ron Knape and lived in League City. She also has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She sends her love to all her North Texas Mu Phi Epsilon colleagues and Alpha Delta Pi sisters.
