Dr. June Johnson Hogue, Lubbock, was honored for her 50 years of work as an educator with a scholarship gala in her name at Wayland Baptist University-Lubbock in May. She has served as a teacher and central administrator for Lubbock ISD and a professor at Wayland and Texas Tech University. June also was a member and former president of the National Staff Development Council. She is active in her community, serving as president of the Lubbock Women’s Club and the chapter of Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.). While at North Texas, she was a member of the Green Jackets, Mary Arden Club and Meritum Honor Society. She is married to Jerry Hogue (’62).
