Douglas May, Dallas, received the Golden Egg Award for lifetime achievement from the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. The award honors his four-decade career in brand development, interactive communications, integrated marketing and design education. Douglas, who is assistant professor of communication design in the College of Visual Arts and Design, has led his design firm, May & Co., in campaigns for companies such as Neiman Marcus, Hilti and Texas Instruments. In 2001, he developed proprietary software that delivered global Internet video communications. His marketing efforts also helped raised funds for AIDS research and the American Heart Association.
