Carolyn Finley, Saint Joseph, Minnesota, retired after 35 years of teaching on the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University music faculty as Professor Emeritus. She taught applied voice, diction and was the music director of the opera workshop. She married pianist Edward Turley in 1992 and they produced five art song CDs during her career. She studied with Virginia Botkin at UNT and would later work with David Jones, a New York voice teacher specializing in the Swedish Italian school of singing.
